I am available as an advisory service for your clients should they wish to seek reassurance, a second opinion or a detailed discussion on their pet’s dermatology condition.
Common scenarios where vets seek our assistance are when the clinic diary is booked and a client needs to speak with a vet about their pet’s condition and /or where referral to a dermatologist for a face to face consultation may not be feasible either due to travel, work or financial reasons.
The advantages are that clients keep continuity with the practice and return for further diagnostic testing (whether that be blood, swabs or biopsy) and/or further treatment.
For more information, please see our referral terms.
I also offer a vet- to -vet advisory service for first opinion vets who need advice on complex dermatology cases. Please book an appointment and I’d be happy to discuss your needs.
The Aniderm referrals process
If you are a vet and your client has requested a case referral directly with Aniderm, then I’ll follow the process outlined below.
- I’ll ask your client to request that you (the vet) emails me a medical history
- I’ll undertake a telemedicine consultation with your client and the pet
- I’ll send your client and you (the vet) a report on what I have learned, diagnosed, recommended & the treatments or course of action I have discussed
- It is up to you (the vet) to action the advice in a way that you feel is appropriate
